I have a Fluke meter at work. it was about $9000.00 when i bought it 10 years ago. I was wondering if anyone knows of any software that does the same thing? looking for plug and play. Dont really care if i need to purchase a "special" USB nic, just looking for something that can replace it without breaking the bank.

I'm not looking for freeware. I wont something that is from a reputable company that offers tech support and warranty.

Most popular options i use on the fluke:

Cable testing

Cable Length

Port testing

Location of the port that the cable is plugged into. Example Switch 130, slot 4 port 20

That is all i use. The network manager uses the more advance settings. I'm not sure which ones though.

Reason im looking to upgrade my Fluke:

Cat6E cables

Fibre cables

WiFi Scanning

Pretty much that, NICs don't really have integrated hardware to do extensive analysis.

Some switches have TDR capability on ports but even that is limited in comparison, although they can do the features that you listed.

PC : 3600 · Crosshair VI WiFi · 2x16GB RGB 3200 · 1080Ti SC2 · 1TB WD SN750 · EVGA 1600G2 · Define C
