Pc died

So my dumbass accidentally inserted micro usb to usb port and my pc died. i immediately started the computer and luckily it started normally. Is there something I should watch for? and can someone explain what happened

Probably shorted a pin and threw an error code that shut down the system.  As long as the piece is out of there you should be fine.  If you're worried, check the port with a torch for burn marks, but at 5v and 900ma, I highly doubt there is any damage.

I even tested the usb ports and it was working fine. thanks for the explanation!
