Hi everyone

I have a problem and I'm not sure where to start / how to fix.
I have a file server, (Windows 10) Running a few things (plex, backups, NAS)

When transfering a file to it, i seem to be limited to around 10MB/s. and the network card seems to hit 100% usage
But on the client its only about 15%

Both NIC's are gigabit, and im going though a gigabit switch
So im not sure where exactly to go from here

I have tried re-installing drivers, and tweeking settings on both NIC's following online guides, but nothing seems to help?
Pic of transfer attached.

Thanks in advance

Agreed, it looks like its only connecting at 100Mbit so I'd try a different ethernet cable if you can.

ASUS B650E-F GAMING WIFI + R7 7800X3D + 2x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30-36-36-76  + ASUS RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OC

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) Backup: GL.iNet GL-X3000/ Spitz AX Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz) WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz)
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~1200Mbit down, 115Mbit up, variable)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

One of your links is negotiating at 100 mbit instead of gigabit.

Usually you can use the lights on the switch as a quick indicator to which one it is.

What grade of Ethernet cable are you using, because these look like Cat 5 speeds.

I'm fairly sure its cat5e but ill try a different one when I can next get to the hardware.
Would that be why the one end is maxing out at 100% on 100mbps while the other isnt?
One is reading a gigabit connection while the other only sees 100?

If you swap cables between the two and it follows the cable then you know what's up.
