As tittle says, I am looking for some free 3d benchmark software that i could use to test stability of my new laptop (MSI leopard GP73 i think thats the correct model, i7 8750H 6/12, 1060 6GB and 16 gigs of ddr4).

Cheers!

GPU Geforce GTX 980 Gigabyte G1 Gaming,

STORAGE 1 SSD Samsung 850 Evo 250 GB and 1 HDD 500GB WD, Windows 8.1.

furmark

Hell no. That thing is made to burn VRMs. It's utterly useless, ESPECIALLY on a notebook.

Go for Unigine Superposition. Its benchmarks are very tough, especially the 1080p crazy preset and the 8k optimized preset. It's free, of course.

It has had free demo since beginning, and still does.

Not mentioned yet:

  • Asus RealBench
  • Some game benchmarks like Final Fantasy XIV and XV, Star Swarm (from makers of Ashes of Singularity)
  • Cinebench
  • Catzilla (only up to 720p)

Then there are actual stress testes. RealBench has one. One I mainly use is OCCT. I have also used Furmark for GPU fan adjusting, but I would only recommend using it for that.
