I'm worried about performance mode

So in asus' uefi bios i turned the power mode/setting into performance mode and i've noticed that my cpu's lowest clock spead is 3811, monitored by afterburner, and its just at that clock speed contantly.

I don't require a 6 clock 3.8ghz cpu all the time, but if it isn't hindering the life span i'll take it. :D
and if you can tell me what peformance changes that'd be nice
