Ram speed and mobo selection

Hello I'm currently in search for new Pc parts for my new build. I will get g skill ram that is 3000mhz but the mobo doesn't have that number as a supported one only 1866,2133, 2400,2667,2933 and 3200. Will that be a problem and at what speed are they gonna run? Thank you in advance for your help.

not a problem, it will just run 2933. you might be able to get 3000 working, but no guarantees

performance difference will be lower than that. Besides, many 3000MHz CL15 (I assume?) kits can hit 3200MHz CL16 with raised (but safe) memory voltage.

X370 just offers more features like better VRM's, M.2 and other things. X370 is better for overclocking, but you can expect to pay more. Just avoid any MSI boards if you can. They tend to have lacking VRMs.

What about gigabyte B350.

they suck as well. Asrock is your best bet among B350s, since Asus overpriced their stuff.

I'll just go for both 1600x and high frequency ram
