Stuttering

Hi, right now I have a 1060 3gb and a i3 6100 I am experiencing alot of stuttering in games and when it stutters I hear a weird noise through my headset it sounds almost like a robot , I think it's my CPU should I sell my i3 and upgrade to an i7.

Could be a slow hard drive, is it like 1-6 second freezing with quickly looped audio?

Yes its very brief, and it is quickly looped, alot of my games are crashing also

Happens to me but not as bad. Store my games on a really slow drive, but assumed it was a cpu issue as old cpu

I use a WB blue 512GB but I think like a 10yr old one

But my cpu is *(CPU’s are) Xeon e5462s from like 2007

Look into getting a faster drive to add to your system and move your games over to it.

So is the i3 ok ? And what drive would u reccomend, I have a 120gb SSD as well but I don't store games on that

Your i3 is probably okay. Games don't behave like that because of a cpu/gpu problem.

 

Look into a WD Blue 7200rpm drive.

It's a 1tb and it had 300gig left
