So I was just browsing the Koodo website, looking at phones and I can’t help feeling confused.

Say you want a $950 phone. Koodo will give you something like $360 in activation credits (explain this please) but you have to switch from a « no tab » plan to a « tab large » plan. And the tab large plan is essentially the same as the no tab plan but it costs more.

So do you basically end up paying the same $950 price for the phone because you pay less up front but your plan gets more expensive?

FYI, the data plans in Canada are better right now. But it’s only temporary as a promotion thing.

The Tab charge is a monthly charge that reduces your Tab balance every month until the balance reaches zero. The Tab charge is based on the retail price of your phone minus how much you want to put on your Tab. To calculate your monthly Tab charge, simply divide your Tab balance (up to 360) by 24. Once your Tab balance reaches zero, the Tab charge drops off your monthly bill and you will only pay for your basic monthly plan going forward.

Ok thanks. What basic monthly plan? Tab small or Tab large? Or no tab?
