i have just bought a new laptop the hp 14-cm0503sa,

it has 4 gb of ram at the moment and has an extra ram slot where i would like to install an extra 4gb making 8gb in total

the issue is finding the correct ram, i have found out that the ram currently in the system is samsung m471a5244bb0-crc

i have attempted to find somewhere to buy this ram and all i have found so far is this on amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Memory-Module-260-Pin-SO-DIMM/dp/B071DVWQFC

at first is seems to be exactly identical to the ram in the system already the only difference being a slight difference in the model number which is m471a5244cb0-crc

I was wondering if this ram would work for me and work along side the existing ram in the system, so if someone with a bit more ram knowledge then me could help me out it would be appreciated.

Just make sure the frequency and timings (latency) are identical and you're mostly fine. Doesn't need to be the exact same stick

Actually you can use jsut about any 4GB 260Pin SO-DIMM DDR4 at or ABOVE 2400Mhz also called PC4-19200. The system will auto clock the RAM speed to the slowest RAM stick.
