bad FPs need help

Go to solution Solved by RyzenDoctor,

It was on slow mode. On MSI motherboards it’ll boot with 800mhz, expect sub ambient temps to reach the normal range of temperatures. If the temp is deemed higher than what’s expected on liquid nitrogen it throws a throttling signal at the CPU which prevents it from going beyond 800mhz

And this is after running OW ? While having HWmon open ? If yes then CPU doesn't speed up for some reason... you could check power options in windows.

So yea the problem is CPU is not increasing it colocks it should be running at at least 3,8GHZ but it is running at 800MHZ, check WIndows Power Setting first.

Set it to balanced then click on image.png.a7da12a1ea9b3499c75a041738bb6cc0.png ( change plan setting blue text ) and then restore defaults ( blue text ).

Then lets go for a BIOS update:

This is a BIOS for your mobo: https://msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z170A-GAMING-M5

And this is how 2 install it: https://msi.com/files/pdf/How_to_flash_the_BIOS.pdf

You can check in CPU-Z if it updated ( https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html), and one more thing you can do now is restoring optimized defaults or just default settings in BIOS
