Hello all

I have a old mackbook and I waned to make it a bit faster it comes with a whopping 1 gb or ram .. I know right lol... So I waned to see if i can put lets say 4 gigs of ram and a ssd in is.
But I could use some help with the ram as I am not sure if the sticks I am looking at will work.
I have attached a pic of the ram I have pulled out from the laptop.

also this laptop is only going to be used for word processing and videos.
is ram going to help this machine be faster ? I know that the ssd will help a lot ...

here are ram sticks I am looking at

Since the RAM is really cheap, it's a low risk if you just went ahead and bought one now, but there is now garentee they will work, but most likely they will. As for SSDs, I don't know if the old macbooks were designed to hold them, let alone have connectors for them, so I would hold off on that and use that money towards a newer laptop or desktop.

Almost any SODIMM will fit, but I reccomend taking a look at the ones in your mac, and see what speed and DDR type they are and get the same speed etc, but a different capacity.
