controlling fans speed

my mobo has only one 4-pin fan header. could i use this hub to control the speed of an additional fan?

yes you can but 1. they will be all connected to each other meaning you change the speeds of all of them at the same time and you need speedfan or something to control fan speeds.

That isn't issue, that hub uses external SATA power. Ofc for each of its headers 1A would be limit, but otherwise it doesn't stress mobo header.

 

@thecraziestowl, make sure to only have PWM fans on that hub. 3pins would go full speed all the time. If you want individual fan control, you need software based controller like Grid or Commander Pro. Or another mobo header.
