what is the diffrence between an adressable rgb header and a normal one

no difference. What's the point of an RGB header if it's not addressable?

 

edit: no difference in terms of function, they work different ways

does addreasable mean i can control it using software

Both types can be controlled through software. 4pin ones are basically 1 of the 3 pins wired to each colour of red, blue and green, while brightness is controlled by adjusting voltage. The last pin is the common ground to complete the circuit.  3pin ones instead opt for ICs for colour change, so they get 1 12V pin to power the IC, 1 pin to transfer data (what colour it should display), 1 pin for ground.

if your mobo use 3pin ones, buy RGB stuff that use the same 3pin connector, and vice versa?
