Hello.

I'm starting to have this problem i mean i prob had it for a year since i build this pc but didn't notice because Im having 60+ fps all the time, but after some testing i found that Im not getting as much fps as i should. my gpu is a gtx 1070 and my cpu is the i5 7600k at 4.18 ghz I'm saying this because my friend thought that my cpu might be bottle necking my gpu because i have for example 100% cpu usage when im playing farcry 5 getting around 60-75 fps which from what i look from similar pc's I'm not getting as much fps as i should

Sounds like a bottleneck to me, what's your GPU usage while running Far Cry 5?

You might have a slight bottleneck.

What are your settings and resolution?

@Crunchy Dragon yea it does by like 10

Hmm. If it's not a problem, then I would just let it be.

If it's something you want fixed, a CPU upgrade is your best option.

But isn't an i5 7600k enough for a gtx 1070 i researched it it should be just fine

It might not be for Far Cry 5.

The CPU itself might be good enough, but could also fall behind a bit in CPU-bound tasks and end up holding the GPU back. It doesn't seem too severe of a bottleneck, and as long as it doesn't impede performance at all, I would personally live with it.
