800$CAD or Wait PC build

Hello, PC builder Pros

 

I need a PC, that runs better than my current PC which has:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 CPU @ 3.2GHz 3.20

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760

RAM: 8.00 GB

I can't remember the rest at the top of my head, though this should be enough information. I'm currently on the fence on buying a new PC now or later.

Should I, wait for better deals when the rumoured new GPUs are released, or buy now due to the leap in performance. which would fit my needs and budget?

 

1. Budget & Location

The current budget is 800$ CAD (monopoly money), I am willing to spend a bit more if the performance is cost effective. OS does not need to be included in the price, as that is in a separate budget.
 

2. Aim

I plan on using the PC for gaming, side projects, and of course video/music streaming

The games I mainly play are RTS and MMOs, I plan on playing “Maple Story 2”, and “Soul Caliber 6”. I’m Currently playing “Total War: War Hammer 2”

The side projects mostly use “Microsoft Office” and “Adobe Suite” for light editing of photos and videos. Nothing too complicated. At hobbyist level, at the most.

I also like to have multiple other programs running in the background like “Discord” and “Chrome”. While “Chrome” is open, I either listen or watch videos while in queues.

 

3. Monitors

I currently use two 1080p monitors, I might get a third. Though I think dual monitors is currently the standard. Not sure if a third monitor would be even worth it, at this moment in time.

 

4. Peripherals

I currently have the basics that I require. I might later get Bluetooth speakers for PC or a standalone microphone for better sound quality. But not important for now.

 

5. Why are you upgrading?

 I am upgrading for faster load times in my games and for future games accessibility. Also, I think I’m due for an upgrade in the hardware for my PC needs. PC has stalled and slows more frequently than before.

 

If any other information is required please ask, I’ll try my best to get that info for you as fast as possible.

if you can wait abit, then hold off and see if the new GPUs will get released. you only need an i7 and GPU upgrade tbh, a 4770 is still very capable.

Look for a bundle that has a 4770 or a 4790.

I've waited and I've seen that the new cards have been released. 

 

I can up my budget to 1,.000$CAD now, and a little more if need be.

 

what should I do to upgrade? please help me.
