my 1070ti randomly drops to 50% when playing games and i found it quite disturbing because my rig has only few weeks and before the update i didn't notice any fps stuttering or big bottlenecks

I'm actually having the same issue with my 760 on the latest driver. Only ~50% gpu is being used causing lag in games. A restart fixes it but it acts up again later.

If you updated through GeForce Experience it is not unlike that some left overs from previous drivers are interfering with the current driver.

GE does one of the most crappy jobs at wiping out the old driver before forcing the installation of a new one, if after updating drivers through it you notice performance crippling the best way around is to DDU in safe mode and start over fresh new with the latest version.

Could it be something else that causes the bottleneck? It started around when i installed amd chipset drivers for my r5 2600x but then i uninstalled it and the performance was the same...
