Can not access router WebGUI

Does every router have a WebGUI that is accessable, if I enter the IP-Adress into a browser it won't connect to the router. I want to do some network stuff, including port forwarding, whitelists and other stuff

Open command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" (without the quotes)

Find your NIC in the list

Find the Gateway Address for your active NIC

Enter that into your browser

 

What happens?

I have tried this, the gatway adress is 192.168.0.1 and this doesn't work

Try https as well or rebooting the router.  Some flaky devices will crash the web gui process after a while.

 

Which device is it like model wise?

Not all routers have a web gui. Things made for enterprise sometimes only have SSH and/or Console access and older devices might also only have SSH or Console (or maybe telnet?) interfaces

Download something like Zenmap and port scan it, see if it is possibly using an alternative port.

Although its probably quicker to just Google the make and model.

try rebooting/holding the reset button if that doesn't work
