Building a new system. Thoughts?

I would suggest a better psu.

The case comes with three Aura Sync compatible RGB fans. Little point in getting Corsair RGB fans.

I like it.  Looks good.  Don't know much about those hybrid drives so i can't comment.  If you just want a drive for storage, I'd get a regular $40-50 1 TB HDD.  good luck

I don't really see what's wrong with the 750 G1+. But i guess i'll look into the SeaSonic PSU you suggested to see if it is worth the extra $10

Anyways thanks for the feedback!

The G1+ doesn't have good transient response.

For the PC, is it just for gaming? In which case, for $1500, that's roughly where I like starting to see a 1080 Ti. I'd change quite a few parts, if that's the case.

The reason I didn't really want to buy A 1080ti is because i've seen many people build 1080ti rigs with ugly cases, no ssd's, and low amounts of ram just to fit into the $1500 budget. I wanted to focus on a build that is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing. I also don't believe I would benifit greatly from a 1080ti, but rather a 1070/1070ti with the types of games i'd like to play, but since gpu prices in that class haven't recovered fully yet, I opted for the RX 580 due to slightly better performance than the 1060 6gb and not much worse performance than a 1070 in both 1080 and 1440. Also RX 580 prices have dropped dramatically in the past 2 months. I appreciate the feedback though!

you can realistically fit in a 1080ti into a $1500 build without skimping on parts rn, prices have dropped back down to normal after the mining craze.

Thing is, to me, your build looks like it prioritises showing off and RGB at the cost of halving the gaming performance (compared to a 1080 Ti system, 30% compared to a 1070 Ti) and getting a case with mediocre airflow. Not to mention some senseless parts, like the NVMe drive, SSHD, oddly priced 580, odd PSU choice and excess of fans.

What monitor(s) will you use?

:)

I see where you're coming from. Based on feedback i think I'm going to dial back the storage to a normal HDD and either a lower cost nvme drive or sata ssd to save money on that front. Also i think you're right with the rgb so I'm gonna omit the fans and save about 100 there. So at this point I think i'll go with a 1070ti since i'll most likely go for a high refresh rate 1080p monitor

You could just get the build @Herman McpootisMcpootis suggested and just get a 1070 Ti. There's a high end EVGA version for $430.

the 2600x is only 300mhz faster after turbo boost for alot more, just get a 2600 and overclock.

the CLC280 doesn't perform any worse for $50 less.

that board is overpriced, you can get a decent X470 board for the same price.

that SSD is the same price as some entry-level 240gb SSDs.

750w is overkill when you can't even SLI.
