I'm not sure what exchanging Dimms mean

I mean swapping the dram module in the opposite DIMM slot and see if you get a post.
When I messed with the DRAM setting in the BIOS, I had a memory error and I couldn't fix it but swapping the stick in a different slot would give me post since the specific slot was registered to run the memory at the settings I had put in but this way your XMP preset may not work.

I was last using computer last night and plugged in my earbuds and accidentally tapped the power button and it powered off normally and turned it back on, booted into windows just fine and then 3 sec later everything locked and just froze. So I pressed and held the power button to force shutoff and now I'm not getting a screen.(plz halp) Cpu i7 8700k 1070ti 2400 1x8 ddr4 7200 SeagateHD Asus z370 tuff gaming mobo.

Turn your PC off, unplug the power cord, hdmi and the lan cable. Switch the PSU off and press the power button for at least 10 sec. Plug every cable back in and turn on the system. If it doesn't work, repeat but let the pc unplugged for at least two minutes then plug everything back in and turn it on.

If you find any grammar or spelling errors please fill out entry permit A38, thanks.

I follow instructions you have given me but I'm still left with a blank screen unfortunately. I think my cpu might of died but wouldn't I still get a screen of some sort with a error? Also this PC is about a yr old I can't imagine anything dying.

First, does your motherboard have a post check display or led indicator? If so, check if they are showing any error regarding memory or VGA or not. Clear CMOS and exchange your memory DIMMs and Pull your graphics card off then put it back in and see if the VGA error resolves or not.

Something similar happened to me when I force reboot windows, and windows got broken since it may have been modifying critical files in the background.

console.log("way to pro");

It has LED indicators for a few things I believe I would have to check but I do remember having a orange indicator on the DRAM led and I was gonna look into that when I get home I'm not sure if its normal it's a ASUS z370 tuff gaming if you look into it before I get the chance to. I will try CMOS and I'm not sure what exchanging Dimms mean and I can try pulling off the card.
