Hi,

Since I moved all my pc components to a new case 3 week ago, I experienced two sudden shutdowns of my computer where it just resets and boots up again. No errors, or blue screens, no freezes or messages that can lead me somewhere to understand what causes it.

Do you guys have any clue of where to look? I would say the case might be the main culprit but I don't know where to begin the troubleshooting since the issue happens more or less once a week.

That's usually an issue with the PSU or motherboard power delivery.

IIR some people say it can be due to ram too.

First check your CPU and ram is all at stock speeds and then try swapping PSU to troubleshoot.

Yes, everything is running at stock already. I will swap PSU and wait, but as I said it is an issue that happens once a week with the pc running games and adobe suite most of the day.

Thanks for the advice!

I think I found the problem!

Temperatures were uncommonly high so took off the motherboard and mounted again the cooler making sure thermal paste was enough and the backplate mounted firmly. After rebooting, temperatures were much, much lower (around 15-20 degrees lower), the system is much quieter too. Maybe the motherboard was just switching to protection mode before. No sudden shutdowns so far, hope this lasts! =)
