I'm getting two monitors - 1440p 165hz - and I was wondering if the 1080ti can handle more of those types of monitors, so if I do buy 3 of those monitors will I need 2 1080ti's?

just take one 1080ti, and then get the 2080 or whatever is soon. its a pretty vague question though. what are you trying to play? i can run most things maxed on it at 1440p, but getting the 165fps would be game dependant. next gen would definitly be better for the tripple monitor though

My recomendation buy a 1440p 24 gsync 165hz (like my dell s2417dg ) or a 27 inch,(s2716dg) or the omen 27 but better buy for secondary and terciary buy an ips 60hz monitor same inches than the main, you dont need high refresh rate for the secondary monitor, and an IPS 24-27 inch 60hz is so cheap bought mine for 150$ 24 inches.

Its better to buy a cheap monitor as secondary and when a new beef monitor comes to market your first could be your second :D:D:D

Case: Corsair 760T  |  Psu: Evga  650w p2 | Cpu-Cooler : Noctua Nh-d15 | Cpu : 8600k  | Gpu: Gygabyte 1070 g1 | Ram: 2x8gb Gskill Trident-Z 3000mhz |  Mobo : Aorus GA-Z370 Gaming K3 | Storage : Ocz 120gb sata ssd , sandisk 480gb ssd , wd 1gb hdd | Keyboard : Corsair k95 rgb plat. | Mouse : Razer deathadder elite | Monitor: Dell s2417DG (1440p 165hz gsync) & a crappy hp 24' ips 1080p | Audio: Schiit stack + Akg k712pro + Blue yeti.

at the moment I do have another monitor I think its 1080p not sure though so if I do buy 3 different monitors it will look wonky...

You will have more problems with a 144/165hz secondary panel that with only your main, maybe your games perform worse if you dont put 60hz on the secondary (because it uses more resources to cast even a 165hz version of your desktop) you wont need dp for your secondary, (hdmi , dvi even vga for 1080p 60hz is ok)... I see more cons than pros on a secondary high refresh rate monitor

Case: Corsair 760T  |  Psu: Evga  650w p2 | Cpu-Cooler : Noctua Nh-d15 | Cpu : 8600k  | Gpu: Gygabyte 1070 g1 | Ram: 2x8gb Gskill Trident-Z 3000mhz |  Mobo : Aorus GA-Z370 Gaming K3 | Storage : Ocz 120gb sata ssd , sandisk 480gb ssd , wd 1gb hdd | Keyboard : Corsair k95 rgb plat. | Mouse : Razer deathadder elite | Monitor: Dell s2417DG (1440p 165hz gsync) & a crappy hp 24' ips 1080p | Audio: Schiit stack + Akg k712pro + Blue yeti.

I do think I have a 60hz refresh rate monitor back home ( I'm on vacation ) ill be leaving to go home today but when I go back I'll go check if its 60hz 1080p

so should I get a 1440p 165hz for the main monitor and a 1080p? 60hz for the second??

or 1440p 165hz + 1440p and 144hz? with my monitor atm???

just buy 1 monitor , and take your actual monitor to secondary. thats the best.

Look for this:

Europe: Amazon->Omen 27 (165hz 1440p gsync 27 inch) 500 euros
Usa : Amazon->Dell s2716dg(165hz 1440p gsync 27 inch) 450$

You can buy a 24 inch (like dell s2417dg)

thats the best deals I found this month

Look this video and you will see the diference :D Its not a problem for a main monitor since you only will look on the fron but if you have money , better is an ips and from asus its ok, I only will trust in asus / dell / hp and not many more on screens(NOT MSI)

Well I was allways cheaping on ram because it doesnt matter but when you have like trident z rgb at 20$ more its a non sense, ram prices have gone so high that high end models are only a few buck more and worth it
