Dont buy a Logitech, they get really heavy overtime and tend to fall off of your head fairly easy, if you tilt your head (most likely because of the weight)

Personally my next headset will be the corsair void pro wireless

what will the headset be used with (PC, xbox, ps4, switch. ect), as that then determines what style you would want (corded or wireless)

Add some details,

  • What's your budget?
  • Wired or wireless?
  • Do you have a big head or not?
  • Do you like over-ear, in ear or on ear headphones?
  • Do you like open or closed headphones?

I suggest going to a storing and try them out, I went to a store and I dislike the padding of the earcups of logitech (too scrachy).

Tried steelseries arctis 3 and 5, ordered a 7 assuming it be the same but it hurt my ears wearing them and went back to Razer (man o war) but the kraken is fine too if you have a big head like me :D

In wireless you pay lots of extra for that need to charge batteries.

And in fact audio makers don't really make wireless stuff and choise is very limited, especially if wanting good sound.

While you can get some of the best headphones for details oriented gaming for less than many gaming trinkets.

ATH-AD700x would be very affordably priced in US.

Though their bass is mostly below neutral and hence "fun factor" isn't good. (ATH-AD900x more closer to neutral bass)

So do you want maximal details/neutral bass, or more balanced sound with better bass immersion?

Unlike in no one knows what cacophony they make gaming trinkets, headphones of actual audio makers have their frequency responses measured.

Also if you don't have noisy environment open headphones with velour pads isolate less heat lowering risk of ears sweating.

Which should be good for long gaming sessions.

Since you don't have a budget and and don't have a budget check out HyperXs cloud IIs and alphas, or if you want wireless go with the cloud flight.

As always my Public Service Announcement: Get good headphones and a good mic and not a gaming headset. Same price, better quality, more flexible use. Doesn't even have to be a ModMic, just get good stuff.

You'll find the best ones above in the recommended thread. And for the most part it's all about preferences.

I tend to forget I have headphones on my head or around my neck and pull the cord alot which is why I prefer wireless, I can get something from the fridge and still hear and speak. And since I'm on discord alot and take it with me it had to be portable so modmic and a seperate mic are no options if you sit at the same place want the best audio check out the thread above and get a seperate mic otherwise go to the store try them on listen to them if possible and make your choice that way.

It will be on your head not mine so your preferences are important.

Without knowing the budget or needs it's kinda hard to say. Do you want open back or closed back? Do you want to spend 100 dollars or 1,000 dollars (or more likely, say, $200).

Do you want to use them on PC only or do you want to take them outside? What about consoles like PS4/Xbox? Do you want heavy bass or treble? Do you feel comfortable changing the earpads?

Answer all that and I can maybe point you in the right general direction :)
