2600 vs 1700?

I have a few extra bucks to spend on my build, should I get the newer 2600 or 1700 for gaming and video editing?

The 1700 has more threads and cores, but I've heard some people say that it doesn't have great ram compatibility. I've also seen a few benchmarks indicating different results.

What do you guys think I should get?

Ahh, you again. As I said in the other thread I'd get the 1700 because the gaming peformance will be similar to the 2600 and the video editing performance will be a lot better because of the two extra cores
