Win 8.1: Mail and Facebook app question/problem

Hi!

 

I have 2 mail accounts synced to my Windows 8.1 mail app: My personal mail and my uni mail. I use the personal mail the most, however the app insists on showing my uni mail by default when I open the app forcing me to manually shift between them each time. How can I get the app to show my private mail by default instead? I've played around with the settings and even deleted the accounts from the app and re-synced them in different orders but it still does the same. Personal is Yahoo and uni is listed as Microsoft Exchange.

 

On to the Facebook app (official). Do you experience notification inconsistencies on the lock screen and live tile? In the settings, I have enabled notifications for all types of activities. Lately I've only had messages so I can't speak for the other kinds of notifications but the notification for messages doesn't always show. I often open the app and find a messages and then the Live Tile and lock screen updates - kind of useless. Any similar experiences? How might I fix this?

 

System: Surface 2 (RT). The apps have behaved like this since I got it.
