so my system is:

asus strix z370-e mobo

asus strix gtx 1080

intel i5-8600k

windows 10 64bit

i have an external drive i removed from its enclosure and made it an internal. I can not access the drive until its initialized but i get an error when i try to initialize the drive in disk manager. screenshot of error attached.

Please help

Does it still work in the external enclosure then? Because this error usually means there is a hardware problem with either the drive or the SATA cable.
