Not necessarily. I am just saying that running slower memory will actually hold back your cpu on the ryzen platform.

Hello.
I am planning to build a new ryzen pc. I have heard about memory compatibility issues with ryzen, so im not sure mine will work. I have a kingston kvr ddr4 2133 8gb cl15 on my current intel pc, and so I want to use this kit and buy another one (so i will have 16gb of ram in total) since im on a tight budget and would like to save money to spend on other components, instead of buying a compatible 16gb set in amd's list of compatible memory. Would love if somebody can help me and reassure me :)   .

Thanks.

CPU: Ryzen 2600
Ram talked about: KVR21N15S8-8 https://bit.ly/2ONjmac

TBH with you, I wouldn't even use the 2133 with ryzen. The infinityfabric is directly affected by the speed of your ram... so I wouldn't go with anything less than 3000mhz if possible and in most cases the difference between 2400 and 3000 is only 10-20 bucks... but that 10-20 bucks will give you a 5-10% performance gain.

So i think spending a little more for the fast ram would be your best bet.
