As often as people tell me there's no problem not grounding yourself regularly and that they have never broken anything that way, I still like to be on the safe side of things, thus I usually use an anti-static wrist strap... :P 

Make sure to tag and/or quote people so they get notified... :P:D

I have never used a anti-static wrist strap personally and I still have yet to ever kill any hardware from static (or from anything else for that matter). This has been over a span of 9~10 years. However I live in a fairly moist climate even in the heat of summer so static electricity has a difficult time building up on anything.

 

Typically without a strap a common practice is to touch the case, PSU, or any large body of metal like a table (or sometimes a doorknob) these can discharge any static you've built up. You could perform these prior to starting a project and do it periodically while you're doing it.
