Now with Threadripper, X299 and just high core count CPU’s in general, i just thought (and maybe this is a really dumb question) if you could split (with a software for instance) a single core workload and use 2 cores for it so you would have for instance 8 instead of 16 cores but get much better single core performance for gaming or other mostly single threaded workloads?
