Hi guys,

I am running a LG 27UD58 display driven by 2x 290x in CrossFire with updated drivers, windows, everything.

Turning on FreeSync on the displays UI makes the screen go balck for a few seconds and after this the Radeon Settings thing says free sync enabled. From there i can toggle it on or of, on the monitors HUD it stays on. So far so normal.

Now in Game (here FC 5): Turning of VSync results in some real bad tearing (FPS being 40-50) with my understanding of FreeSync this should not happen.

Enabeling Vsync in the game stays at a constant 40FPS or (when not much ois going on and my GPUS can do it) at 60FPS

And as we all know 60 looks perfect but 40 has micro stutters...

So i guess FreeSync is not running even thoug it says it is on??

Anny ideas guys?

Thanks!

Here's the old windmill demo to test it

I'd blame crossfire first off

followed by drivers and windows updates

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Why should that do anything to it?

But thanks for the link

Crossfire? It just adds a lot of complexity and issues, try running with a single card first, then try some older drivers if the newest ones are having issues.
