What is the best Hard Drive Benchmark?

I really don't care about the "reality" of the benchmark or the "syntheticness" of the benchmark. I just want something that will show how much performance improves/decreases relative to the hard drive.

 

For example: I am currently upgrading from a old HDD to new Kingston SSD. Which benchmark would be the best so that I can compare the two results (HDD vs. SSD) and say something like, "Oh, the benchmark was 5 times faster so my SSD is five times faster than the HDD"

The best way to predict the future is to invent it
