I actually saw that one and under the modes: 4. tri ribbon looked like it may be what I want but I wasn't sure. I was inspired by this video and wanted the same effect from a flashlight:

For that kind of effect you would still need separate lights far apart as they have in place since RGB LED's tend to combine them into white lights decently well. This is also the same effect you get from RGB LED strips when you try to produce white light giving a dirty or hazy look of the Red Green and Blue separating a small amount.

I'm looking for an rgb led flashlight that can project all 3 colors simultaneously. Has anyone heard of such a thing?

Oh, I understand. Maybe I'll just have to get 3 cheaper rgb flashlights and make a big handle combining them into one. That should work then right?

Theoretically yes if you want to bend and split the light into it's separate colors like that. Other than that there's always the easy method using white light and a prism, just need to make sure that white light is full spectrum.

If I go with the prism do you think it will still retain its brightness? I want it to still function as a flashlight.

It will loose some from refraction and reflection inside the prism but it will be more compact than three physical lights. Only thing is it will be a rainbow so I don't think it will give that same effect if you're trying to achieve that.

Well, I've got some things to think about anyways. Thanks for your help ?

I'm a huge flashlight/ electronics guy.  A colored flashlight is not really that useful so you will probably get more out of getting a bright white flashlight(x3) and just get some photo gel filters and cut them to fit over you will probably get bored of the colors rather quickly but a bright flashlight is still very useful.

The old military gooseneck flashlights came with separate rigid RGB filters in the bottom and can be had for cheap.  Although they use a incandescent bulb so they aren't particularly bright.

I built 3 flashlights with colored cree XP-E emitters(the brightest colored emitters at the time) and really haven't used them at all since.

I like this idea. Are these the gels you're talking about? https://www.amazon.ca/Cowboystudio-Color-Correction-Gels-inches/dp/B0036BGJ2I
