Leaking pump

I’m setting up an ekwb water cooling system and my outlet pump is leaking. I’ve used threading tape, and silicon sealant. Which is still on the pump I haven’t scrubbed off yet. Nothing has worked and I am in need of other suggestions

Have you tried maybe some locktite on the threads to see if that helps seal it up? If not the threads on either the connector or pump could be damaged... in that case you will need to return one or the other.

I really hope that’s not the case. Do you think that picture would work better than silicone sealant?

I think that Loctite might do a better job. Remember you apply it to the threads. I only say Loctite, because that is one of the things it is specifically made for.

Seems like a common issue for those aluminum kits. Seems like bad qc or everyone is over tightening them.

Take a detailed close up of the threads in the port it sounds like the threads themselves or the oring is damaged. You're going to want to scrap and scrub off all traces of sealant.
