Thoughts on This Build?

Hi everyone, this is going to be a home/family PC I am putting together for somebody and I'm looking for any thoughts or suggestions. Quick responsiveness and long lasting are the two key traits for this system. It won't be handling anything extremely demanding performance-wise.

I'm particularly wondering about the SSD; The Kingston A400 480GB seems like a good deal for only $100 CAD but I'm unsure on the quality and the speeds appear to be lower than many other SSDs. What are your thoughts on this?

I disagree, OP should keep the CX450M; It's a solid, well-built semi-modular PSU.

I've seen it used often in budget builds but I can't it on the list. Oh and I didn't notice that the case has a side panel, so semi-modular is better. You're right I was wrong.

The A400 is very slow by SSD standards, however it will still run laps around average mechanical drives. The 480GB version for that price is a very good deal.

Other than that, it's a solid build for a family PC.

New Build (The Compromise): CPU - i7 9700K @ 5.1Ghz Mobo - ASRock Z390 Taichi | RAM - 16GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200CL14 @ 3466 14-14-14-30 1T | GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1080 TI | Cooler - Corsair h100i Pro | SSDs - 500 GB 960 EVO + 500 GB 850 EVO + 1TB MX300 | Case - Coolermaster H500 | PSUEVGA 850 P2 | Monitor - LG 32GK850G-B 144hz 1440p | OSWindows 10 Pro.

Peripherals - Corsair K70 Lux RGB | Corsair Scimitar RGB | Audio-technica ATH M50X + Antlion Modmic 5 |

CPU/GPU history: Athlon 6000+/HD4850 > i7 2600k/GTX 580, R9 390, R9 Fury > i7 7700K/R9 Fury, 1080TI > Ryzen 1700/1080TI > i7 9700K/1080TI.

I would say the unit is about a Tier 5 or 6... you might as well get a VS.
