Error 43 on a brand new 1050 Ti

Hello everyone! I'm having this weird issue with a 1050 Ti that's not even a month old. It was working on a temporary computer, and then I installed it on this PC:

  • ASRock H81M-HG4

  • i5-4570

  • 12 GB RAM

It worked fine for about a day, then Windows defaulted back to the Basic Display Adapter. After that, I could not get the card to work again. Whenever I install the correct drivers, Windows tells me to reboot and then I get error 43 on Device Manager.

Here are the steps I've already tried, in no particular order:

  • Clearing CMOS,

  • Reseating the card (multiple times, cleaning the pins as well),

  • Removed both sticks of RAM, testing them separately,

  • Reinstalled Windows, both in Legacy and UEFI mode,

  • Checked that PSU cables are connected properly,

  • Removed the HDMI to VGA adapter I had been using, and tried an HDMI monitor, and

  • Put the card in another computer, same problem.

It's worth mentioning that, when I reinstalled Windows in UEFI mode, the card worked properly until I shut down the system. Now I've noticed that whenever I manually load the driver (through Device Manager, disabling and re-enabling the card), these lovely patterns show up on the screen. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I just RMA the card? Thanks in advance!

Did you update the BIOS yet?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

It's already on the latest version (1.50)

Do you have access to another gpu? Even if it's older, just to narrow it down to the card and not the rest of the system.
