So the better thing goes up the ladder while the worse thing goes down, ya see?

Almost every PSU is better than Seasonic S12-II.

Why do people think that this old piece of Hardware is still a good thing in 2018, over 8 years after its release without any major changes?!

 

It is darn loud, lacks protection, is group regulated when you can get independently Regulated units from other manufacturers for the same price.

 

Capacitors in modern PSU aren't that relevant as people want to believe.

 

The most important things are if a PSU is independent regulated or not and the protection, after that the Noise. Voltage Regulation isn't an issue with most somewhat OKish PSU that are independently regulated.

 

Hell, I'd even take a Xilence Performance A+ over a Seasonic S12II variant.
