3200mhz ram compatibility on x370

Just wondering if that means that you just have to enable it manually, or they are not guaranteeing that frequency will run.
It means that the board does not natively support 3200Mhz memory, and that you will have to overclock your memory in order to reach that frequency.

Definitely seems like something that can be improved with bios updates, and one of the reviews I read on the board i"m looking at (ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Hero AM4) confirmed this, but he didn't go into detail about the frequencies he was able to hit on the ram.
Your chances of having a stable system out of the box would increase by getting memory found on the DRAM QVL: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/HelpDesk_QVL/
