Hey all,

My current machine is as follows:

Ryzen 7 2700X

16GB Gskill RGB 3200MHZ

256GB nvme ssd

10tb of HDD space

GTX 1060 6GB

I have someone lined up to take the card from me and I am looking to buy either an R9 295x2 for US$371, an RX VEGA 64 for US$482 OR a GTX 1080 for US$519. Which do you think is the best deal and the most future-proof?

I only output at 1080p 60hz and the games I play are: GTA V, Fortnite, Dota 2, Overwatch, Astroneer, No Mans Sky, CS:GO, etc.

Thanks for any input!

Nothing, wait for next gen GPUs coming in a month or 2

If you're only gaming at 1080p 60hz your 1060 is fine, buy a better display first like a 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync display, then a new GPU.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I have 290x in a crossfire config and the little issues here and there along with the fact one of my cards is no longer stable over 1000 for some godforsaken reason make me want a single card again. That and the 4gb is starting to show on intensive titles. Also if you have g-sync or free sync you might want to stay with that brand to further utilize the monitor. Also, a 1080 for 500 usd is expensive. I saw a 1080ti with a motherboard for 690 this morning.
