Using two broken earbuds as one

Alright so I just lost my working earbuds and I found two of my old broken ones (same model) They both only have one ear audio on the right, so I was wondering if there was a way I could get one to play any "left" audio and the other one to play right audio.

 

Right now they're both plugged in and set to the "headphone" input but they're both right ear audio, which wouldn't be optimal for gaming...

You could try ripping the headphones apart and changing the wiring to come through left side on one and keeping the other as right side.

Err I dont have the tools or time to do that, is there any way in windows or thing I could install that just makes "left" audio play on the right?

Not to my knowledge, but maybe somebody else here knows a way.

You'd have to physically rewire one of ear bud's right side to the left channel.

 

The only other option I can think of is to plug one pair into the main line-out of the PC, the other into the headphone output, hope that the audio chip can output to both at the same time, and hope that the audio chip's software can flip the channels for one of the outputs.

I don't see a line in, is it one of the other four "outs"?

 

Also when you say the audio chips software doing it, do you mean it recognizing it and flipping it, or would I have to manually do it?

It's typically the Front Speaker Out

 

And you would have to find the option to flip the channels manually if it's even a thing.

Alright thanks, I'll look around but I think I'm better off just looking for a new pair of headphones...
