Wrist hurts when using my controller

I recently bought an PDP Afterglow controller for XBox360 (for only about 17€xD)  because I wanted to try games like Hollow Knight with a controller. The last time I used an original XBox 360 controller (which is very similar to the one I bought) was years ago and I had no problems. But with this controller both wrists start to hurt after a short amount of time. I tried to hold it without bending my wrists but it didn't help.

Is there something I can do so I can use the controller without pain because at the moment it is unuseable for me.

Is it possible to get a pic of how you hold the controller? I've had to conquer HID discomforts before, a visual would help. Unless it's just super normal holding, then I guess try resting your wrists on something while you play?

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad
