If you have the case and the cooler, then measuring should be easy.

 

If you've got a spare motherboard too, then you can use that to compensate for the height of the motherboard.

the case gets here tomorrow so i plan to do some fitting. just to be sure. Thanks for the reply. Just really anxious now.

TBH I'm not sure. Your case has 160mm of clearance for the cooler. The cooler is 166 according to cooler master. But the heatsink height is 158. I guess you'll just have to try.

 

Worst comes to worst you can just return one and buy a different cooler/case.

It won't fit. The extra 8mm comes from top plate and how fans are. It can fit without top plate, maybe. Fans probably still go over 158mm, but not so much that it would be huge issue.
