Hello to anyone reading this, I am wondering about picking up a new GPU and deciding to get a sapphire rx580 nitro+ or an Asus 1060 6gb, but some other people on the build log topic told me it would be smarter to buy a used 1070 and found this one listed here

https://m.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-GeForce-GTX-1070-8gb-Rog-STRIX-OC-Edition/113161762026?epid=1676881777&hash=item1a58f774ea%3Ag%3A9QAAAOSwhjNbU92n&_nkw=1070&LH_ItemCondition=3000&LH_BIN=1&_from=R40&rt=nc&LH_RPA=1

im trying to find one that hasn’t been mined on or been used to much which will last me a while if I do go with a used 1070. Also would this be a steal?

For a strix card that's a pretty good price. Not a steal, but lower than MSRP.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Keep a search going for 1070's and 1070 ti's. The ones with the best prices go fairly quickly so if you search a little longer you might be able to find a better deal when it gets posted. For example I recently sold an EVGA 1070 Hybrid for $350 on eBay because I didn't want to wait and there are others doing the same thing. I imagine you might even find someone selling a 1080 for around $400 used. So if you can wait a couple days then you will eventually find a better and hopefully a better card.

I was on his other thread, and I think $400 for the GPU will be out of budget.

Ahhh, well hopefully he can find someone selling a Hybird. I based my low price off of similar prices sold on them. And those things are super quiet and stay very cool.

If they were mining cards would that affect the life span or performance of the actual card or my Gaming sessions?

I don't think you will see any difference being that they are hybrid water cooled and stay low temperature. But the first link I posted was an EVGA refurbished model the guy never installed and that one was a little cheaper. I wouldn't be worried buying either of them. And you could always message the guy selling the multiples to see what he actually did with them.
