Wrong RAM for MOBO?

I'm having trouble getting my new built pc to work.

When i boot it up, it doesn't show anything on my monitor, its NO-POST.

After some digging around, i think i MIGHT have found the problem, if it is what i think it is, its a very, VERY STUPID reason.

The Mobo i have is: Asus Prime B350-plus.

Someone pointed out that i should check at the QVL of the Mobo to see if my RAM was compatible with it.

The RAM i have is CMK16GX4M2B3000C15B (remember the last letter)

based on the QVL PDF the only RAM that are supported is CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 (no letter afterwards).

is this real? just because mine has the letter B(=blue), its not compatible?

Or might it different problem why my pc is NO-POST

Your RAM is compatible, as you said B just stands for Blue, everything else is the same.

if you have 2 RAM sticks, maybe try booting with only 1 RAM stick installed, and switch between them, to make sure there's no defective RAM, also change slots with the 1 RAM stick, if still nothing happens, then it could be CPU / Mobo / GPU.

process of elimination, that's how you solve PC problems.

yeah there's a reason i thought it might because of the letter.

there's another pdf but for the ryzen 2000 series (same mobo)

and there i saw it had the normal version and one with a "R" at the end. i was confused bc of it.

i went through the troubleshoot list and did everything exept 9./10./12. due to time.

So my story is as follow:

i first tried using a Ryzen 2600 CPU, but it turned out that i had to first update the bios of the mobo. which you can only do with a lower CPU that's when i got the AMD10 9700. Still no-post.

after asking on different forums.

they pointed out a few things, the cpu problem.

and a metal standoff piece that i thought was attached to the case and could not remove it, but i was wrong and removed and replaced it with the with the proper standoff.

(did this maybe cause damage to the mobo?)

what do i do now? i you need more info i'll do my best to answer them.

the only other thing i can think of is the GPU metal shield (don't know right term) almost touching the mobo, but not quiet. i can't move the mobo too far from it

here's the complete built:

1    AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Wraith Boxed
1    Asus Prime B350-Plus
1    Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 580 8GD5 Special Edition
1    Seagate Barracuda, 2TB
1    Fractal Design Define S
1    Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2B3000C15
1    BitFenix Formula Gold 450W
1    Samsung 860 EVO 250GB
