Air cooler dimensions help

I know this might sound dumb to some, but Im planning to get the MasterAir MA610P air cooler and the td500 case from coolermaster.

The problem is that the cooler is 1.5cm taller than what cooler master says that the case supports so do i have to find another cooler or case or will it still fit even though the cooler is 1.5cm taller than spec?

Nope it wont fit. Unlike tower coolers with fans being the tallest point (NH-D15 for example), you cant manually lower the height by simply moving the fan to a lower position

Um... How to say this politely....

 

Clearance for case is 165mm. MA610P is 166.5mm. That 1.5mm difference. It might fit, and will if CM has counted cooler not touching sidepanel window. Second cooler will most likely fit with 0.1mm difference. How set you are to using these coolers? Do you want looks more than performance? Which CPU?
