If you have clearance issues, that's not an excuse to skimp on dual channel.

 

I may be wrong here, but what dual channel does versus single channel is essentially split the load between the two channels effectively increaasing the efficiency of both channels. It's like how I have my DDR4-2400 DIMMs set to dual channel so effectively each RAM module is running 1200MHz.

(I hope someone can enlighten me on this.)
