No audio from monitor speakers

So, i just built a pc and everything is working just fine, except for the monitor's speakers.

It's a benq gw2270h it's detected as Nvidia High Definition Audio, and it would appear to be working (sound bars move up and down when playing sound)

But there is no actual sound coming out of the speakers.

I have latest nvidia drivers and my mobo's audio drivers.

I have plugged headphones into the monitor and the sound does work that way.

I would appreciate any help, thanks in advance

Would it be possible that your speaker sound is turned down in the osd?

I've turned it up to 100, muted and unmuted.. no results sadly
