Building my first pc

Galion

Hi everyone, my name is David and I'm 14.

I've always used hand me down or  used computers from my uncle's s house.

I finally saved up $480 to build me a small compact pc to use for school work and gaming.

Programs I'll be using

Word

Exel

(looking for app for designing and frame work)

Games

Smite

Fortnite

Cs go

Probably battlefield

Any suggestions on a build

Ty

Hmm.. You have a very tight budget, and ITX/small components come with a cost, so I doubt you can do anything special. Are the peripherals/monitor included in the budget? If so whats the resolution/refresh rate? Would you be okay with going with used components?

I have a old 32inch led monitor, and crappy mouse and keyboard

In hoping to be able to play at 1080. I've been playing at 720

Oh and I have an old rvz01 case I got from a 2nd hand pc shop for $15, I was hoping to put everything in there

I'm from the Us?

If you can salvage Storage and a Case you can get this PC for 480$

Though you will need to salvage those two parts.

The 2200G build and then add a GPU later would be a better option

I don't think the board will fit into the rvz01

I thinkthe g2200 won't need a gpu right

I remember linus saying ca ply at 720 high settings

$500 isn't much for an M-itx rig, especially one that needs an SFX PSU.

if you can stretch your budget, try this:

You 'should' be able to fit this in the RV01 case u have.

You will need to transfer over your HDD's.

(NOTE: make sure motherboard has updated Bios for the 2200G CPU)

You could save another $5 by going with a single 8gb Stick of RAM, alows you to upgrade to 16gb in the future if you need to. If you  know for sure your not likely going to upgrade then i would stick with 2x4gb RAM so it can run in dual channel mode.

Assuming you have the case as you said and can salvage maybe 1 more storage drive... this should be about the best you can do on your budget. *Edit* had to add a SFX psu which raised the total about $15. I am hoping you can stretch for the extra few bucks in your budget. If not you could go with a smaller SSD or shave 8 bucks on the ram by going cheaper.

Yes it would. Would be better to go for that. its only a few $ more. (edited post)

BUT, make sure the motherboard has a pre updated bios, otherwise it wont work. Check with retailer.
