Upgrades

Go to solution Solved by r2724r16,

Don't buy an AIO, buy a high end air cooler like a Dark Rock 4 (Pro) or a NH D14/15.

will a ASUS strix 1060 6gb be too long and interfere with my AIO or will it fit in snuggly.

No, it'll fit just fine. The GPU doesn't usually interfere with the CPU cooler.

1. Budget & Location

No budget and located in the US

2. Aim

Little bit of editing, video recording, streaming, but mostly gaming. Games like Ghost Recon Wildlands, GTA V, and Far Cry 5.

3. Monitors

2 Crappy 1080p monitors planning on getting 2 1440p monitors next year.

4. Peripherals

Just and upgrade on the pc.

5. Why are you upgrading?

CPU is getting a little warm for my liking and also my current GPU needs an update, bad.

So what I came here to ask is if I get a Kraken x62 280mm in my s340 elite case (btw I know that will fit in my case) will a ASUS strix 1060 6gb be too long and interfere with my AIO or will it fit in snuggly. Also planning on putting fans on both sides of radiator if possible. Fans I am going for are the Corsair LL120 and LL140 rgb.

If you have no budget the 1070 will be a much better pairing with the 8700k

Why do you have an 8700k paired with and R7 to begin with?

I built the system in January when prices on GPU's where high so I just wanted to wait it out.
