I have speakers which are connected to back i/o ports. Due to the position of my case, the audio cable of it got bent at the place where it connects to the motherboard i.e., at the Steele part. I somehow then to managed to put it inside and it worked but after some days the green covering on the motherboard where audio jack is connected got out of its place and from then my speakers are not working ,i.e. not able to play anything from the PC, its working properly with my other devices like mobile. I don't understand what thing is broken, the motherboards sound port or the audio jack cable.

Can you post a picture of the damaged part?

Also, have you tried plugging in other devices (like headphones) to that same port? And plugging other devices (like a phone, MP3 player, etc) to the speakers using that cable? Or changing the cable if not working?

I have connected different devices on both the speakers and the port the speakers were working properly with other devices like a mobile when connected through the wire, but the port was not working when we connected the different device.

If the port is not working so what might be a possible solution for this.

@Meet8939

To me that looks like a broken 3.5mm jack inside the motherboard, and probably the contact pins inside are bent, so they don't make proper connection. If by trying to play with them you don't get them to work again properly, you can either try to open the shielding and repair it from there, or you can replace the whole block of jacks (I wouldn't suggest this though, cause it might make the situation worse if not kill a part of the motherboard or the whole board) or (the remaining solution) you can just buy a sound card. It doesn't need to be the top of the line, you can do just fine with a used, maybe older card if you don't need anything special. Also, consider external sound cards too, or external DACs

Thanks for the advice. I was also thinking that buying a sound card might be a good solution to this problem. Thanks
