Need help swapping out old motherboard

SnowCells

I just bought a new ASUS strix mini itx board and a new NZXT Manta to go along with it. I do not want to lose any files on my HDD and SSD combo. What are the steps to this?

I found this video that i think will work, but I would like an expert opinion just to be sure.

you won't be losing any data by just moving the SSD/HDD around. you just might have to reactivate windows.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

@Herman Mcpootis What do you mean by reactivate? Will i have to buy a copy of windows 10 pro again?

if you have an OEM CD-key for windows, you may have to activate it again.

@brob @Herman Mcpootis  So in summery: I need to link my activation key to my account (I have done that) before replacing the mobo, then do all the hardware stuff, then once i power on it will ask for my activation key, install windows and all my files will still be there?

just plug them in and set the boot order to the boot drive, reactivate windows if needed.
