Hey everyone,

While trying to remove the tempered glass side panel from my Corsair Spec Omega RGB, one of the screw fell out and causes the tempered glass side panel to fall down and shattered it's corner.
Upon further inspection, the last socket head screw and it's socket has damage on their threads. I tried screwing in another screw into the same socket but it ended up getting damaged as well.

Does anyone has any idea on how to fix the socket's thread of my pc casing?
It sucks especially when the case is rather new.

Wanted to send in for RMA but the distributors here in Malaysia suck, saying that the damage can't be claimed because I may have dropped the case (because of the damaged tempered glass side panel).

I can't even purchase a replacement side panel here.
Sorry for my bad English.

You should not have done that. That is admittedly your own fault.

If you want to try and fix it yourself you could try and use something like a thread cutter. I haver never tried that on a damaged thread but that is what i would do.

Using something like this: hi-q-tools-thread-cutter-set-39-metric-p

Now i am thinking of buying a Spec Omega case, swap the internals into it and put the front panel so that i can have the rainbow led strip. But i still don't know if they're interchangeable.

Truth be told when I contacted Corsair support, they troubleshooted me to use the screws on the damaged case screw socket.
